Tremor Hits the UK
Update: Tremor was 4.7 on the rictor scale. There was damage in Lincolnshire but no casualties
It’s actually a tremor..
Around 30 minutes ago (01:00am GMT+0) there was an Earthquake in the United Kingdom. I wish I had more information on this but it lasted for around 4 seconds and my house was shaking like crazy. I’ll update this post when I have more information on it. I heard someone in Yorkshire felt it also. What did you guys experience?
I just checked on the BBC1:34am and and they don’t have much information yet either

I experienced this on the outskirts of Hull, however I thought it may of been the roof giving way when this occurred. My mother and I went into my sisters room, where she was fast asleep. I’ve never experienced an earthquake before but objects in my room were shaking pretty badly. Residents in the area didn’t show any notice so it must not have been as strong from where it originated, seeing as i was awake at the time.
Hi Jordan, I was sitting here at my computer and everything was shaking, it was creepy, took me about 2 seconds to work out what was actually happening. I looked outside and there were people looking out their doors and stuff. The weather is getting really weird also isn’t it? The idea of nuclear war is frightening also, electro-magnetic war would make me cry some lol not to mention a tectonic war? anyone heard of tectonic weapons?? They’ve been around a while, I can’t find the purpose of them?
A spokesman said it was the biggest earthquake to hit England since 1990 and could be of a level to cause minor damage to buildings. hmm I hope it doesn’t get any worse xD
I was up when it happened and looked at the clock it was exactly 01:01am and I thought either the roof was going to come off or I had done something to make the gods angry lol.
Although it sounded awful no damage done here.
I experienced the tremor in the outskirts of Manchester, in the small village of Hazel Grove. From what I’ve heard, it was worse where I was than it was anywhere else in Manchester. All the people that live near me were woken by their house swaying, when those living nearere to town slept right through it. I’m a deep sleeper and I was woken suddenly. Scary stuff
