A little about the chakra’s

We all have charkra points around our bodies the seven main charkra’s play a huge part in our state of mind and general well-being. They affect our psychical emotional and spiritual health.

More people are becoming aware of these important energy points in our bodies and are learning how to keep the chakra;s in balance therefore maintaining a good emotional and psychical state.

I find the best way to get in touch with your chakra’s is through meditation.

The chakra  energy points are in a straight line through the body and follow the route of the spine see the diagram below.

If our chakra’s are out of balance then all kinds of problems may occur.

For instance to name but a few of the symptoms.

Feeling highly stressed

Tiredness

Irritability

Feeling down and depressed.

Aches pains.

Constipation.

Lack of concentration.

Insomnia.

So what can we do about it?

Read the following information and then attempt to bring your chakra’s back into balance for your self if you have difficulty meditating you can always seek out a good spiritual healer that will balance your chakra’s for you but it is best to persevere because a simple argument or busy hectic day at the office can throw them back out of line and you don’t want to be running to your therapist every five minuets.

With time and experience you will be able to tell when your chakra is blocked whether it is open or closed your health will give you a clue. For instance if you are feeling overloaded and it is causing you a vile headache then you no doubt have a problem with the sixth chakra the one called the third eye located in the centre of the forehead between our two eyes.

The names and functions of the seven Main Chakra’s

The Root Chakra.

The root chakra is located at the base of the spine by the tail bone the colour associated with this chakra is Red, It concerns material matters and is for grounding courage and health and also individuality.

The Sacral centre.

The sacral centre is located in the lower abdominal section just below the navel. The colour associated with this chakra is Orange. This chakra is associated with digestion and vitality, procrastination and sexuality. The sacral centre is the centre for desire and pleasure Males often operate from this chakra while women tend to operate mainly from either the heart chakra or solar plexus.

The Solar Plexus.

The solar plexus is located approximately 4 inches above the navel. The colour associated with the solar plexus is Yellow. This chakra is linked to the metabolic rate and digestion also the emotion and gut feelings are felt here. It is the chakra of ego in men and is linked to womens and mens intuition, it is in this chakra that we experience laughter and learn to control our will. The solar plexus is linked to the element of fire.

The Heart chakra.

The heart chakra is located just to the left of the centre of the chest it is associated with the colour Green and also Pink. Obviously is linked to matters of the heart IE love affection, forgiveness,peace, and harmony. It is the energizer of the physical body and circulates the blood our life force its is also linked to the circulation and the lungs.

The Throat Chakra.

The throat chakra is associated with the colour Blue.This is the chakra of communication.It is linked with the power of expression and if you have ever nearly said something in an argument that you shouldn’t you may have felt the throat chakra come into play as your throat muscles seemed to constrict and stop you speaking out of turn. You may have also noticed if this chakra is blocked you may suffer a tightness or soreness of the throat often occurring due to a lack of you communicating your thoughts and feelings and bottling up problems.

The Third Eye.

The third eye is located in the centre of the forehead just above and between the eyebrows is also known as the brown chakra for this reason. It is associated with the colour purple or indigo. This centre is all about insight and intuition peace of mind imagination,and often clairvoyance.

It is linked to the knowing of the presence of the soul it is a focus for meditation.

When open it enables clearer thinking and insight into life matters and when in meditation you may even with practise begin to receive messages and images through your third eye.

The Crown Chakra.

The Crown chakra is located at the top of the head. The colour white is associated with the crown chakra, It is  Linked to the brain and is concerned with the unification and oneness of the soul and the universe it is linked to your higher self and divinity.

It is here that we receive spiritual lessons and realizations.
